What to Look for In a Great Massage Table

With so many people in our modern world under so much stress, the massage business has been booming – grossing billions of dollars each year with no sign of slowing down anytime soon. If you want to be one of the people who cashes in on this gold mine of a business opportunity, then you should start now and become a licensed masseuse as quickly as possible. However, in order to do so, you will have to set out on your own and purchase some of the gear that you will need if you decide to become a professional masseuse.

The startup costs are nothing to laugh at, as you will need, at the very least, a massage table, a stool, a variety of oils and creams, and bathrobes and towels. If you want to take your business idea a step further, you will need to find a suitable storefront and create your very own reception area, complete with an overall relaxing atmosphere.

However, no matter what type of massage business you are planning on starting – whether it is based on home visits or your own storefront, you will need to find a good massage table. After all, without a comfortable table, it will not be long until you find that you will not have any customers at all.  There are two types of massage table that you should consider: a collapsible massage table for traveling masseuses and a stationary massage table for those who want to open their own business.

A stationary massage table should have all types of adjustable parts so that you can be totally sure that your clients will get the best and most comfortable massage available. If you are taking your business on the road, then a collapsible table should also be adjustable to some extent but under all circumstances should have wheels for easy maneuverability, side pockets for storage and at least one shoulder strap to make it easier for you to carry it from one location to another.
